love connection are a fucking. great. band. they’re moving to the U.S. and they will be very popular. this track/clip (don’t need muscles to get love) are so summertime it makes me hate everything about the winter and my life right now, but i’ll be spinning it hardcore in about 5 months time.
we’re heading along to their northcote social club show this friday. if you want to as well, for FREE, pick yourself up a double pass here:
dope 5 minute long mini-doco about post-punk/noise-pop circa 1985, when the jesus and mary chain were ‘the new sex pistols’.

king gizzard have a song called ‘dustbin fletcher’, which of course refers to AFL footballer dustin fletcher. in honor of that song, we made them a meme.
on friday my 2 housemates and i erected a tent in our apartment.
then we had a 3 day long music festival.
we are very lame.
it’s now monday night, the tent it packed away, and i’m here to endorse the exercise. if you want to do a similar thing, simply hire a projector, some lasers, and any other amenities you feel it necessary to have at a music festival.
the highlight of the festival was a countdown of the best 200 songs of all time, voted for democratically. the top 10 alone is a triumph of stupidity. honorable mention to celine dion (#16) for bringing me to tears after a particularly emotive key change.
lifestyle adviser,

bleeding knees club at northcote social club last weekend was absolutely mental. fortunately, we were also there to film it:
noel fielding’s luxury comedy is like…post-comedy. non-sequitur surrealist sketches that for the most part, don’t even have ‘jokes’. a comedy without jokes. and there’s really nothing clever about it.
that said, i just fucking love it. it’s unapologetic in its brazen stupidity, which is essentially just a visual translation of word association.
boosh had a storyline - it was cute, inoffensive, and quite light-hearted. by way of comparison, luxury comedy is dark, unsettling and will not appeal to the vast majority of boosh fans, who will level eloquent critiques like ‘too weird,’ at noel and his absurdest drivel…not realizing that that’s precisely the sort of reaction he’s after.
anyway. this is ‘daddy push’, my favorite recurring character.

we built a set for the final episode of the season and filmed the bastard in one continuous shot. it’s a bit about kony slacktivism and a lot about nonsense.
kristina miltiadou is fast becoming australia’s answer to lily allen. bitch can sing, with a vicious turn of phrase, and write a great pop tune. we filmed her ‘carousel’ single launch at the northcote social club.
we premiered them 9’s first ever clip, for their track ‘i’m a get you’. they sound like early black keys and feature 1/2 of yacht club dj’s.playing at groovin the moo shortly.
enjoy.
yeah, listen to Everguide. “If you’re yet to get acquainted with Poncho, or you just need something to look at after a trying week of looking at stuff, we can’t recommend this motion picture more highly. Its universal themes will touch you in the heart.”
